This new rule is part of the 1996 Amendments to the Safe Water Drinking Act (SWDA) which gives consumers more information on their drinking water and opportunities to get involved in protecting their sources of water. Community water systems must deliver their CCR to their consumers by July 1st and will include information from the previous calendar year. A portion of the requirements for this report mandate we supply customers with a listing of contaminants for which we have tested and received a detect, regardless of whether on not we exceed the maximum contaminant level.
