Next to Big Creek lies a beautiful campground
that hosts visitors from all over the country. Canadian Geese
frequent the area and are quite tame.
Just off I-70 at Exit 145 is
Ellis Lakeside Campground. This picturesque campground is nestled
along the south bank of Big Creek just two blocks off Washington
Street on East 8th.
This campground is fully equipped
with the following features:
- Rocked 17 pull thru sites
with 30 & 50 amp individual electrical and individual water
hookups
- Shaded grass areas
- Clean large handicap accessible
bathhouse with HOT showers
- Free dump station at the
bathhouse
- Boat dock, fishing pier,
public phone, picnic tables, charcoal grills and playground available.
- Storm shelter nearby
- Ellis has an EMT ambulance
service and 24-hour police protection.
